History

AID Faridabad was started with a vision to provide a basic education to the children in the slums of Old Faridabad. Back in 2009, Vinay Gupta and Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, both working in corporate sectors were driven by the extraordinary dream to see a day when no child would be deprived of right to education because of their economic or social condition. Like many of us, they too were upset when they saw disparities between privileged and underprivileged children but unlike most of us, they went forward and started their first project, Paathshaala in the slums of Sant Nagar, in the vicinity of Faridabad Railway station. Since then, with the help of volunteers and teachers, the organization has been able to open 9 schools, all aiming to provide informal education to the children and transfer them into a full-time education.
